Top Staff Pick for Best Coffee Shop

Antlers at Vail staff and their pets unanimously agree that Les Delices de France, also known as the French Deli takes the top spot for best coffee shop in Vail. They describe it as “a true local treasure.” While the founder Daniel Bouvier passed away in 2020, his former wife Lisa and daughter Claudia have kept the tradition strong.

Antlers Office Manager, Gabe Kossmann says, “They make excellent coffee drinks, have good to-go breakfast sandwiches, and as long as I have been going they have the same people working and know my name.” He’s not the only staff member who also shares how warmly their furry family members are also welcomed.

Top Staff Pick for Best Convenient Coffee

The lobby Lavazza machine is a favorite with Antlers guests. Even though there are fresh roasted whole beans and a grinder in every condo, the majority of guests make their way to the lobby each morning for a gourmet cup of coffee from the Lavazza machine.

TripAdvisor reviewers even call out the lobby Lavazza machine in their reviews salying, Antlers at Vail “has an amazing coffee bar set up for all your needs in the lobby.”

Nestled in the heart of Solaris Plaza in Vail, Yeti’s Grind offers expertly crafted coffee and fresh pastries in a refined atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to energize before a day of mountain exploration. They offer excellent specialty lattes and great service, as well as tasty pastries and grab and go items. The café is conveniently located in Solaris Plaza, making it an ideal place to sit outside on a nice day.

Loaded Joe’s is a versatile café and bar that caters to both early risers and night owls. By day, it serves gourmet espresso drinks, artisan roasted by Seattle-based Rococo Coffee Roasting, along with a variety of breakfast sandwiches and pastries. As evening approaches, the venue transitions into a lively bar offering a selection of beers, wines, and cocktails, complemented by happy hour and karoke.

Best Locally Roasted Coffee

Once located on Bridge Street but now located a short drive to Minturn, Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea Co. has been roasting and serving premium, locally roasted coffee and a wide selection of teas since 1989. At their Roastery Café, visitors can enjoy a full flight of espresso drinks, freshly baked sweet and savory treats, as well as beer and wine. With 35 different coffees roasted daily and available for sale, it’s a must-visit destination for coffee enthusiasts.

Note that some locals would aregue that Color Coffee in Eagle is the best locally roasted coffee. But since it is about a half hour west of Vail, we didn’t think our guests will want to venture that far down valley. However, if you are a true coffee connoisseur, it may be worth the trek.

For Starbuck loyalists, don’t fear. There is a Starbucks in the CityMarket in West Vail. As you do at home, you can order on your app and use your special offers. Our afternoon/ evening courtesy shuttle will even take you over to pick it up.
