As Colorado’s 2022/23 ski season with its heavy snowfall – Vail was already boasting over 15 feet by January – draws to a close, the Antlers at Vail hotel is preparing to welcome spring and summer’s colorful blanket of blossoms with a new peak-posies package at a special rate. From June 11 – August 20, 2023, guests can book the “Wildflower Power Package” at the Antlers at Vail and enjoy a (minimum) two-night stay at rates starting from $319/night for an Antlers studio condominium and including a roundup of flower-forward goodies and activities. “Wildflower Power” guests can visit the the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens (don’t miss downloading the gardens’ free Alpine Wildflower Finder app), receive $50 to spend at the popular Root & Flower with its imaginative offerings of fine wines, clever botanical-inspired craft cocktails and accompanying snacks, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine waiting in the Antlers suite; take a guided wildflower walk (weather and schedule permitting) with Walking Mountains Science Center to view and learn about such wild local flora as the state-flower columbine, fireweed and bluebells; and bring home a packet of Colorado wildflower seeds as a memento to plant and continue the floral fun.
