Intermediate level: Lion Down
Starting about 150 yards away Lion Down trail is one of the only trails on Vail Mountain that allows biking and hiking on the same trail. To get to Lion Down trail start at the base on the Eagle Bahn Gondola, follow the Berry Picker Trail up about 1/8 of a mile till you connect with Lion Down. Once on the Lion Down, fell free to go as far as you want before you turn around, or follow the trail all the way to the top of Vail Mountain.
