Life in the Northwest

School in the Northwest…reconnecting with high school sweetheart, raising two children in Portland (Oregon); and,returning to Colorado for Christmas, spring breaks and summers to enjoy skiing, hiking, biking and (for me) horseback riding…and most importantly blue skies and sunshine!

Careers

Bob in architecture; I enjoyed a career at Nike (Track and Field promotions, sales & marketing); and, finally creating my own design firm.

Travel

My quiet goal as we traveled was to study the languages, arts and culture..Hmmm….with a strong start immersed in Scandinavia for six months, I became somewhat proficient in Danish/Norwegian. My struggle to learn more languages resulted in a blur. My foreign language skills at best is a jumble of pieces of each interspersed in one sentence. So, I’ve returned to my original goal..art, culture and lots of cooking. Always more to learn!

Final return to our dream – life in Colorado

Our part-time residence became our full-time home in the Vail Valley in 2020!  As Bob works remotely, I am happily immersed at the Antlers!

Our home serves as a magnet for our children and grandchildren to enjoy both winter and summer sports;  and,  friends join us year round to participate in all we enjoy about one of the most amazing places in the world.
