Here at Antlers at Vail, we love our guests. And, we especially love seeing them year after year. Our welcoming lobby is a popular place for guests to gather, particularly during our ski season weekly wine and cheese receptions. It is always fun to catch up with our extended family there.

Last week. we launched a featured guest series here on our blog to celebrate these guests, who have become a part of our family. We’ll be sharing a little bit of information that these guests from around the country and world have kindly provided. When and how did you first come to stay at Antlers at Vail?

The first year I stayed at Antlers was in 2013 when my ski travel agent Anne of Travelplan recommended Antlers to me.

Who do you travel with when you visit Antlers at Vail? How long do you stay? Where do you travel from?

I usually travel by myself but this year I came with my daughter. I often meet up with friends who also come to Vail and stay at Antlers. I travel from Australia and it is relatively straight forward to get to Vail. I usually stay between 2 and 4 weeks.

How many times have you stayed at the Antlers and what keeps you returning?

I have stayed at Antlers on 8 different occasions. I keep coming back because the location is second to none, the views of both the mountain and Gore Creek are very good, the hot tubs and pool are excellent and I like the feel of Antlers even though or probably because it is quirky. Antlers is always happy to do me a return guest deal. I like the staff and I have friends who are generally there at the same time, so it all adds up to a very good package.

Any special memories or favorite moments you’d be willing to share?

I met John Patterson 12 years ago in the hot tub and we have been friends ever since. I have also made other friends skied with staff members and generally had a good time at the wine evenings.

Any staff member you would like to highlight?

I think Gabe does a great job and is always friendly. I like Jeff and Rachel who are always helpful. Parvati just makes me laugh and is very friendly and AC was very helpful this year as have others in the past.
