At the Antlers at Vail, our guests’ experiences are made special by many people, but especially those who are behind the scenes and take pride in making sure every detail is just right. We’re excited to introduce Daniel Rincón as our new Housekeeping Manager!
Daniel is stepping into this important role following the retirement of Gladys Contreras, who recently retired in June after an incredible 36-year career with us. Gladys built an exceptionally successful housekeeping operation and left a lasting impression on generations of guests and coworkers. We’re grateful for everything she contributed to Antlers and are excited to have Daniel carry that legacy forward into its next chapter.
Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Daniel first visited the Vail Valley in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the mountains, outdoor lifestyle and sense of community. He moved here in September 2020 and began building a career in hospitality.
Daniel started as a Houseman at The Arrabelle in Vail, where he discovered a real passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences. He worked his way up through roles as Head Houseperson and Supervisor before becoming Assistant Housekeeping Director at The Charter at Beaver Creek, where he spent about three years developing his leadership and operational skills.
Daniel has joined Antlers as our new Housekeeping Manager and is excited to take on his new leadership role.
“I want to build strong teams, maintain high standards, and most importantly, create an environment where both our guests and employees feel valued,” Daniel says.
Antlers General Manager Magda King is equally excited to have Daniel on the team.
“Daniel is a passionate learner, a thoughtful and kind person, and an exceptional team player. His strong work ethic is reflected in his willingness to roll up his sleeves, take on challenges, and work alongside others to achieve the best possible results,” says Magda.
Daniel has a genuine love for mathematics and brings a curious, analytical mindset to his work. His bachelor’s degree in International Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua has also given him a strong foundation for understanding business, numbers, and the dynamics of working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Magda shared that “one of Daniel’s greatest strengths is his ability to recognize and bring out the best in each member of a team. He understands that diverse perspectives and individual strengths can create stronger results when people work together with respect and purpose. His combination of intellectual curiosity, kindness, dedication, and collaborative spirit makes Daniel someone any team would be fortunate to have.”
While Daniel is taking on a new role, he also understands the importance of building on the strong foundation that came before him. Following Gladys’s 36 years of dedicated service, Daniel has big shoes to fill—but his experience, enthusiasm and people-focused approach make him a wonderful addition to the Antlers team.
When he’s not at Antlers, Daniel enjoys going to the gym, hiking, paddleboarding, exploring lakes and waterfalls, road trips, skiing, and taking advantage of everything the Vail Valley has to offer.
For Daniel, becoming a leader in hospitality is a goal he’s been working toward since he entered the industry—but he sees this new position as just the beginning.
“I don’t see it as the finish line. I see it as the beginning of the next chapter,” he says.
We’re excited to see where that next chapter takes him—and grateful to have Daniel leading our housekeeping team while carrying forward the high standards and commitment to guests that have been such an important part of Antlers for decades.
