New Vail Lodging Website for Antlers

We are happy to present a new face on the web for Anters at Vail, Condos and Conference Center. We just launched our new web site about a week ago, and we hope you are enjoying the new look!

Our Vail lodging is located along lovely Gore Creek, in the Lionshead area facing Vail Mountain. When you stay at Antlers, you are just 150 yards from Vail’s Gondola and a moment from the free in-town shuttle. The hotel is conveniently located to Vail’s main shopping, restaurants and nightlife area.

We do everything we can to make sure your Vail vacation will be all you wanted and more than you expected. Along with being conveniently located near most everything you could want to see in Vail, we have enough going on here at the hotel that you may want to spend a day by our outdoor pool, alternating between our two hot tubs. We have a heated walkway as well as changing rooms and nice fluffy pool towels for your use.

If you are not worn out from your ski day, or if winter sports aren’t your thing, we also have a fitness room at our Vail Resort.  It offers up to date Precor equipment; including treadmill, stationary bike, and an elliptical, Parabody free weights, and private changing rooms with showers. Since our room is a bit on the small side, the Antlers also has complimentary passes for Vail’s Premier Athletic Club, the Vail Athletic Club, a short bus ride away in Vail village.

Welcome to Antlers at Vail!

Welcome to Antlers at Vail!

What about business? Antlers has free high-speed internet access in all our rooms. Simply bring your computer, we have complimentary network cords and wireless routers at the front desk for you to use in your room. Antlers has a convenient business center with three computers for quick internet access. You can also take advantage of the printers and a copy machine. We want to make sure when you hold your business retreat in Vail, you have all the amenities you need.

On the other end of things, if you are traveling with your family – and that includes the members with four legs, we’ve got that covered too! Antlers is Vail pet-friendly lodging. We look forward to greeting you and your dog or cat with a non-prohibitive additional fee.

As you can tell, there is a lot going on at Antlers, and we wanted to present our web site in a manner that was easy to navigate and clear. We are confident that you will be pleased with the breathtaking views and cozy setting for your travel in Vail. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Who Let The Dogs Out?

The Serac Adventure Film School stopped by for a stay at the Antlers during the Teva Games. Stacy Jacobs put together this short piece: Who Let the Dogs Out?

Check it out and have a laugh. Could you get your dog to take the plunge??

As some of the rooms at the Antlers accept pets, many of these pets featured in the film stayed right here with us during the Teva games.

Vail Snow Report: Here comes the snow!

Rumors of a major storm are flying around the Antlers this morning. NOAA.com predicts 2-4 inches…maintenance guru, Chris Apmann, is claiming a foot is on the way…Vaildaily.com is somewhere in between. I don’t know who to believe? The only thing that is certain is the 30 inches of new snow we’ve accumulated in the past week. Let’s hope Chris knows more than NOAA and we get hammered with snow tonight!-Matt “Zuder” Zaremba.

Holy Whiteout!

Today was the craziest snow day of the 08-09 ski season. A major storm found its way to Vail early afternoon and hasn’t let up(time is currently 3:34). If we don’t get over a foot of snow tonight we will all be shocked. Several of the back bowls were shut down around 2pm and for good reason….visibility was about 4 inches in front of your face and the wind was angry! I may, or may not have, ducked into Mid-Vail like a scared child. Get up early tomorrow morning and wax your whip…it’s going to be ALL TIME!. Whoo-hooo!-Matt “Zuder” Zaremba

Turkey Day in Vail

Thanksgiving provided Vail with it’s best snow since opening day. We should be getting a couple more inches here and there over the next few days. Unrelated to the mountain, the Antlers smells delicious! Owners, guests, and staff are cooking turkeys in their kitchens like it’s going out of style. Thanks to all of you who brought down food to feed our lonely front desk staff!Matt “Zuder” Zaremba

Vail Opening Day 2008

It finally happened…we can all rest easy now…Vail Mountain is officially open for the 2008 season. The gondola was in use for beginner skiing and Chair 8 was running for all you hard carving chargers! The sun was shining and the lift lines were only ten minutes long. A few Antlers employees hiked to a couple secret spots and claimed some early season powder turns. Don’t tell Ski Patrol! Snow is in the forecast for next week…keep your fingers crossed.-Matt “Zuder” Zaremba

Antler’s super employee, Aaron, rescued a stray cat from our pool area this past Sunday. We believe it belongs to somebody in the area. If a post in the Vail Daily does not provide us with any answers we will be putting her up for adoption. Until then the “Lobby Cat” will be cared for by the good people at the Antler’s front desk!

Avoid the Arapahoe Basin Madness

A winter storm warning is in effect for Vail/Beaver Creek this week! However, we couldn’t wait another 17 days for Vail to open…instead we did what 100’s of other idiots did…we packed the car and headed to Arapahoe Basin. Again? Right now, A-Basin is like Great America, you wait in line for 30 minutes for 1 minute of fun. Here are some tips if you want to avoid the madness:

1. Arrive at 2pm. You will get 2 hours of solid runs in as everybody seems to leave A-Basin around that time.

2. If you go on a Sunday try to show up at the start of the Bronco game. Half of the lines disappeared this weekend as the Broncos got punked by the Dolphins. Sorry Denver! Look on the bright side, you just traded Allen Iverson for Chauncey Billups (2004 Finals MVP).

3. If the lines are long head to the bar for a Bloody Mary. They are top-notch!

Vail Opening Day 2008…is almost here.

A Basin First Day of the Year

A Basin First Day Of The Year!

Let the ski/riding season begin. Arapahoe Basin opened their runs to those who just couldn’t wait another 30 days (Vail opening day 11/21/08). I had to go check out the famous “white ribbon of death.” As to be expected the one open run was crowded with die hard snow addicts. It was the place to be seen on a Monday in the Rocky Mountains…with all the latest fashion trends for the 08/09 season in full effect. Get your neon out of the closet because the 80’s made their way back to the snow this year. On a more serious note…thanks to A-Basin for making snow! The ski conditions were surprisingly awesome. I’m headed back for some more man-made Rocky Mountain Champagne next weekend. Hope to see you there.
