Vail, Colorado – September 6, 2018 – We’ve all been there: Hours and hours of cooking, hours and hours of cleanup, and it feels like the anticipated Thanksgiving meal itself lasts for mere moments in the midst of the chaos. It doesn’t have to be that way though, because the Antlers at Vail hotel in Vail, Colo., is offering a memory-making alternative. The family-friendly, convenient and comfortable, amenities-packed lodging takes the hassle away from the holiday with its new Early Bird Gets the Bird package, offered Nov. 21-23, 2018, that comes complete with a chef-prepared turkey dinner and a complimentary “Thanksgiving Survival Kit.”
Early birds who reserve their package by Nov. 20, 2018, can spend their hard-earned days off skiing or snowboarding Vail’s famous slopes, or doing other fun-filled activities such as ice skating in nearby Lionshead, tackling early holiday shopping in Vail Village, swimming in Antlers’ mountainside pool, soaking in the onsite hot tub, or just kicking back in the luxurious comfort of a Platinum-rated condominium.
Meanwhile, Vail Chef Barry Robinson is standing by to whip up a gourmet Thanksgiving feast for a family of four—the same meal he has cooked for his own family for years—including roast turkey breast, slow-cooked giblet gravy, a salad of mixed greens with homemade herb dressing, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans with toasted almonds, caramelized butternut squash, savory stuffing and tart cranberry sauce, all topped off by classic pumpkin pie and vanilla bean ice cream.

The Early Bird Gets the Bird Package also includes a Thanksgiving Survival Kit: a bottle of wine or six-pack of locally made Bonfire Brewing beer, travel-size Tums and Advil, disposable hand and foot warmers for slopeside comfort and pumpkin pie-scented ChapStick. Start the morning with freshly brewed Joe from the bag of Vail Mountain Coffee Patriotic Blend beans stocked in every Antlers condo (and with a portion of the proceeds of every purchase Antlers makes donated to the Vail Veterans Program). For guests who opt to arrive with the family pooch (advance reservation required), the kit will include natural turkey and sweet potato-flavored dog treats.
Family and friends can enjoy dinner in the comfort of a beautifully furnished home-away-from-home condo with a fully equipped kitchen, where dinner – which arrives in oven-safe containers – can be heated to fit the most extreme powder skiing schedule. Spacious dining and living areas, cozy bedrooms and gas fireplaces allow the whole family to relax in comfort.
In addition, Antlers boasts a long list of amenities to make your winter stay even more memorable; for instance, Ski Butlers is on-site to offer in-room fittings and ski rentals and provide complimentary ski lockers and ski valet service, shuttling equipment to the nearby Gondola and back again. Other guest perks include free loaner snowshoes and sleds and GoPro cameras for recording the family fun.

The package includes a prepared holiday dinner for four on Thursday, Nov. 22 (reservations must be received by Tuesday, Nov. 20) and a complimentary Thanksgiving Survival Kit. Additional Thanksgiving dinners are available for $40/person; the meal will be delivered to the condo in ovenproof, recyclable containers. The Early Bird Gets the Bird package is subject to availability – and as always, Antlers charges no resort fees.
