A Legacy of Timeless Connections

The Antlers at Vail Condominiums were first built in 1972, at the same time that most of Lionshead was developed. It didn’t take long however, before the Antlers distinguished itself from the myriad of other condominium properties. Bud Benedict was the first general manager (there have only ever been three). Bud guided the homeowners association into an efficient operation, but more importantly one with a significant heart and soul. Rob LeVine continued and built upon that legacy over the next two to three decades, strengthening the timeless connection to family and community.

It’s always been an important part of our culture that owners and employees alike feel like the Antlers is their family. A number of the Vail condominiums here have been handed down from parents to children, and about a third of the families who owned units in 1980 still call the Antlers home. Past employees like Bert Farin, Millie Barela, Chris Ratzlaff and Lucy Valdez will all tell you that the Antlers was not just a place to work, but will always be a part of who they are.

The entire forty person staff has an impressive tenure. Quite a few have been here for more than a decade. Executive Housekeeper Gladys Contreras began working at the Antlers in 1990 and is now Executive Housekeeper. Chris Manning returned to the Antlers in a management capacity after leaving the Antlers to pursue successful business endeavors.

Community Partners

The Antlers at Vail is located on the Gore Creek with the Rocky Mountains as our backyard. We cherish our location and how lucky we are to be in a place where we not only have spectacular views and epic mountain adventures at our fingertips but also a community that contains its own cultural gems. Many local non-profit organizations enhance our lives and the experiences of our guests. It is important to us to not only look after the environment with our green initiatives, but to also support these many special and impactful community organizations and non-profits who all work to make life in the Vail Valley a better place to experience.
