I finally got up for the first day of the ski season. 3-4 inches of new snow this morning. Every bit of snow helps Vail’s ski conditions. Light snow during the day. We are still hoping for that 8-12 inches of snow that we need to open up the upper half of Vail mountain. There is quite a bit on the ground but not quite enough to open more terrain. Keep your fingers crossed ! We have two runs open with Born Free and then the connector over to Chair 2 and back. They are making snow on Lodgepole and Columbine so we think they’ll be opening Chair 2 with a couple of runs perhaps on Wednesday or Thursday. At least that’s our hope. Chris Ratzlaff
