Vail Jazz at Vail Square will take place on Thursdays throughout the summer from 6 pm to 8 pm. On July 21st, Bria Skonberg will be performing. After her well-received Vail debut last summer, Bria is back from her native Chilliwack, Canada to serenade her delighted Vail fans once again. Originally a piano student, she first performed professionally as a big band singer & trumpeter at 16 and, since then, has been hailed as one of the most versatile and imposing musicians of her generation. Recipient of numerous prestigious jazz awards, she in now a frequent headliner at jazz festivals and prestigious clubs throughout the world. With a sultry voice likened to Peggy Lee, Diana Krall and Dinah Washington, she also wows audiences with her impressive trumpet playing and knowledge of classic jazz, while often combining soul, electronic effects, world rhythms and innovative percussion.
