Vail Jazz presents Vail Jazz at the Market. Taking place on Sundays throughout the summer from noon – 3 pm, delight yourself with jazz at the Solaris Terrace while enjoying the Vail Farmer’s Market. On June 26th, Ritmo Jazz Latino will perform. Denver-based Ritmo Jazz Latino is a staple at jazz festivals, music seminars and a wide variety of special events and educational clinics, bringing their infectious Latin rhythms, styles and musical influences to a variety of trad-jazz (and not so trad-jazz!) musical selections.  Having performed at noted jazz clubs and prestigious music venues, this talented group includes Grammy® winners, award-winning arrangers, popular Cuban and Puerto Rican percussionists, and Latin luminaries who have performed throughout the Americas with Dizzy Gillespie, Julio Iglesias, Gato Barbiere, Eddie Palmieri, Ray Charles, Henry Mancini and Ella Fitzgerald.  The band includes Walter Barr (trumpet, flugelhorn, flute), Fransisco Mejias (congas, bata, coro), Victor Mestas (keyboards), Paul McDaniel (bass), Christine Barbosa (vocals, piano), and Howard Hernandez (timbalero, Latin percussion).
